This Ohio University investigation aims to identify Individualized Education Plan teams’ perceptions about using smart speakers with voice control (SSVCs) with individuals who have multiple disabilities in the educational environment. Five areas of discussion will include: a.) SSVCs in the school environment, b.) an IPP approach to SSVCs intervention, c.) SSVC Barriers, Benefits & Safety, d.) SSVCs impact on Caseload/Workload and e.) SSVCs influence on independence for students with multiple disabilities. Information will be collected through a one-time focus group. Two IEP Teams from your school are required to participate to earn the Philips Hue White and Color Wireless Ambiance Starter Kit ($200 value).
Please be aware that the Institutional Review Board will want a letter of support from your school. I can supply a template for your school to make this process easy.
